Freedus Ryland

Freedus Ashbury Ryland, son of A.S. and Mary J. Ryland born at Bonaparte ___ 25, 1843, and died S______, ___ana, Jan. 14, 1916, aged __ years, 11 months and 2_ days.

His early life was spent near Bonaparte. At the age of 21, he moved to Virginia, remaing there f____. On his return to Bonaparte _____ed for a time at the "Old P____Mill" then, in company with ____bor boys he located in Montana __ engaging in the mining industry.

The winter of '93 was spent by him among his relatives and friends near Bonaparte, and returning to Montana in April '94, he again engaged in prospecting and ___ and at the time of his death ____ interested in the 'Grub S_____ ___ the "Badger" claims near ______ where he had gone to attend _____ affairs and was stricken _____ heart failure, dying before relations could reach him.

Although he leaves two brothers, Lewis Harlan and William B. ____, and four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Murphy, Mrs. Hester Dodds, Mrs. Martha Miller and Mrs. M. ___ray, only one sister, Mary and nephew, Sutton Dodds, could be present to witness the
____ ___ which were held Sunday, _____ ________ need laid to rest in __________ cemetery at Helena.
