Adra Libby (1923 - 2016)

Adra Corene Libby, nee Jones, 93, of Belleville, Ill., born March 4, 1923, in Gravity, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Adra was retired from the Stag Brewery in Belleville, Ill. She was a member of the National Organization of Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Libby; two sisters, Claris Moore and Verla Horswell; and a brother, Earl Jones.

Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer Libby of St. Paul, Minn.; her son, Lester B. II (Cindi) Libby of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren, Sarah Libby and Rachel Libby; a sister, Reva Kelley of Clearmont, Mo.; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Jana Mar and Maggie Wilson; many co-workers from Stag Brewery; and her feline companion, Ginger.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers with Home Instead Senior Care, Hospice of Southern Illinois, and the independent sitters who have cared for Adra these last several months.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the funeral home, with Rev. Cari Frus officiating. Entombment will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
