KUNCH, CHALUPNIK, DVORAK, HUSAK

Services wewre held at 10 o'clock Wednesday, May 5, at the Immaculate Conception church in Clutier for Vince G. Kunch, 72, Howard township farmer who died at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 1954 at Mercy hospital, Marshalltown. Father Francis Ruzicka officiated. Interment was in St. Vaclav cemetery.

The Mason Funeral Home at Tama was in charge of the service.

Mr. Kunch suffered a heart attack Friday, April, 30 and was taken to the hospital that night. He died the next day. He had been in failing health for a year and one-half.

Vince George Kunch, son of Henry and Frances Dvorak Kunch, was born Nov. 15, 1881, in Carroll township, Tama county, Iowa. He attended a Carroll township rural school.

He was married Feb. 20, 1911, to Josephine Chalupnik of Carroll township, the wedding taking place at St. Vaclav church. At the time of his marriage, Mr. Kunch bought a farm in Howard township, north of Toledo, and this was his home until 1920 when he bought another farm in Howard township, a short distance from the first farm. The home place, now operated by the son George, is located six miles north and three-quarters of a mile east of Toledo on graveled road.

Mr. Kunch was a member of the Immaculate Conception at Clutier.

He is survived by his wife, the son, George V. on the home place, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Albina) Husak of Howard Township; also two grandsons, Leonard Husak, 10, and Melvin Husak, 7.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Martin, John and Frank, all of Toledo, and by two sisters, Mrs. John Podhajsky in Carroll township, and Mrs. Joe J. Zmolek sr., at Toledo.
