Marjorie "Marge" Ogren, 91, passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2013. Marjorie Elaine Hanson was born on October 2, 1922 in Story City.

Marge graduated from Story City High School and went on to earn a degree from AIB. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Pete" Ogren on August 4th, 1950. Marge worked at Harding Hills Hy-Vee for 19 years, retiring in 1985. In her retirement Marge enjoyed traveling with Pete and spending time with her grandchildren and friends from church.

Marge is survived by her sons Gary (Vickie), Lynn and Wayne; grandchildren Jessica Ware, Leslie (Michael) Billings, Danielle (Chad) Orr, Matthew (Ashley) Ogren, and Ryan (Marti) Ogren; and great-grandchildren Gabriella and Boston Ware, Drake Orr, and McKinley Billings. Marge was preceded in death by Pete, her husband of 60 years, and her brother Robert Hanson. In lieu of donations, memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Des Moines on December 12, 2013 at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM and burial at 2:00 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
