FORMER NEVADA MAN DIED SUNDAY
LAWRENCE MORAN DIED AT HIS HOME AT AINSWORTH, NEBRASKA
Dr. Lawrence Moran, 62, died at his home at Ainsworth, Neb., last evening at 9:30, according to word reaching his broths in Nevada today.
Dr. Moran, who had practiced veterinary surgery in Ainsworth and the tributary territory for nearly a quarter of a century, has been a sufferer from cancer and other complications for the past year.
He was at Rochester, Minn., a year ago and consulted the surgeons there without getting any encouragement, came from there on down to Nevada to visit at the homes of his brothers Mark Moran of 728 Eighth street and John Moran of Grant township.
He spent the younger days of his life in and around Nevada being engaged for the most of the time in the horse business but about 25 years ago went to Nebraska, where he located at Ainsworth and later became a practicing veterinarian.
He was the fourth of five sons of one of the pioneer families of Grant township. The oldest William Moran died many years ago, the next, Thomas makes his home at Sawtell, Calif. but at present is at a sanitarium at Hot Springs, S. D., taking treatments, the third is Mark Moran of this city and the fifth is John Moran who lives upon the old family homestead in Grant township. There is also one sister, Mrs. Ella Crane of Dows.
Besides these he leaves his wife, two sons and two daughters.
Local relatives have not been advised as to the funeral arrangements.
