Lifelong county resident died

Mrs. Isabelle Noble Scott, 90, Gilbert, died about 10 a.m. Thursday at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Born Dec. 11, 1871, she was the daughter of James and Jemima Noble, pioneer Story County residents. She had lived in Story County all her life.

She and John M. Scott were married Dec. 14, 1882 in Ames. He preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1953.

Brothers and sisters who preceded her in death were Mary Elizabeth Pulley, Sarah Arrasmith and John, Frank, Jacob, Johnston and William Noble. Survivors include Mrs. Myrtle Alberry, Nevada; Mrs. Minnie McCannon, Numa; Mrs. Cora Cory, Hillside, Ill.; Mrs. Jennie Berends, Hartley; and Mrs. May Talley, Des Moines, all nieces, and Ray Noble, Ocheyedan, a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. E. LaVerne Ervin, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
