Genevieve Curtis
Aug. 6, 1911, to Sept. 19, 2003

Genevieve Curtis, 92, of Nevada, died Friday, Sept. 19, at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada, where she had ben a resident since 1998.

She was born Aug. 6, 1911, in Nevada to James and Mollie (McNichols) Curtis. She was a Nevada High School graduate. She worked at R. H. Donnelley Corporation for 33 years and also worked weekends at the Ben Franklin Store in Nevada. During W.W. II, she worked at the Ankeny War Plant. She is a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada, Donnelley Retiree Club and Senior Fellowship Dinners.

Survivors include two cousins, William L. (and Carol) Sharpe of Des Moines and Pat Curtis of Sioux Falls, S. D.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Edna Curtis.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 22, at Chet Ryan Mortuary with Father John Herzog officiating. Burial followed in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Genevieve's name for the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada handled arrangements.
