The body of the late Charles Stitzell of Des Moines, a resident of Nevada as a boy and young man, was interred in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. The funeral cortege included eight automobile loads of relatives and friends from Des Moines besides others who met the funeral party here. Rev. Thompson of the Methodist church in Des Moines was in charge of the commitment service. The deceased was a Spanish American War veteran. A firing squad from Des Moines, with a bugler from Nevada performed the last military tribute of honor. Mr. Stitzell had been in Nevada during the fall when looking after the burial of the bodies on his brother-in-law and sister in the family lot by whom he was interred yesterday. A number of old time acquaintance from Nevada met the funeral in the Nevada cemetery.
