Funeral services for Mrs. Byron Spake [should be Mrs. Myron Spake] of Marshalltown, who died Friday evening at the University hospital in Iowa City where she had been a patient for about ten days following a gall stone operation, were held this afternoon at 2:30 from Bishop's funeral home at Nevada, and burial made in the Nevada cemetery. Mrs. Spake who before her marriage was Bertha Peterson, was born at Maxwell, March 11, 1883 and had lived both at Maxwell and Nevada. She was married to Mr. Spake, Nov. 28, 1907 at Green Mountain and is survived by four children. The children are Mrs. Elmer Davis of Marshalltown, Lawrence Spake of Cedar Rapids, and Myron and Katherine living at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Forest Hayes, State Center and Mrs. Wayne Harmon, Omaha; a step sister, Mrs. Virginia Moler, Omaha and two step brothers, Wilbur Anderson, Pasadena, Calif., and Charles Anderson, Albion, also survive.
