Bakke rites set Friday

Funeral services for Gertrude Maklebust Bakke [sic], who died at the Iowa Lutheran Home, Madrid, Wednesday morning, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. from Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. O. M. Severseike officiating. Burial will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Born at Skiford Bergen, Norway, she came to the U. S. in 1896 and lived in Ames.

She was married to Ingvald D. Donaldson in 1902, and resided in Nevada. They had three children, Lester D., who died in 1953; Mrs. Janet Smith, Boone, and Mrs. Henrietta Bennett, Perry. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was married to Andrew D. Bakke in 1929. He preceded her in death.

She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and also belonged to the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Golden Agers, Birthday Club, Woman's Club and the Ladies Aid Society.
