Services set Thursday for Lottie Shoafstall of Oak Park Manor

NEVADA - Mrs. Lottie E. Shoafstall, 87, died Monday afternoon at the Story County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. She was a resident of the Oak Park Manor Nursing Home.

Services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 23 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Marvin Hulse will officiate with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Born Dec. 5, 1889 in Omaha to Riley and Hattie Zenor, Mrs. Shoafstall had been a resident of Story County for the past 15 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Methodist Ladies' Service Organization.

Survivors include two sons, Harold of Nevada and Wayne of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine (Arthur) DePaepe of Loma Linda, Calif.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ida Donaghue of Manning.

Mrs. Shoafstall was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and her husband, Harry, who died in 1961.
