Lee Fish dead at 79
COLO - Services for Mr. Lee Ava Fish [sic], 79, who died Saturday at the Story County Hospital, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Colo.
Fish died of a heart attack and he had been ill for the past five years.
Fish was born in Maxwell, September 11, 1897 and lived in Colo for 30 years. He was aa retired farmer and stock trucker.
Fish was a member of the Church of God, but attended the Colo United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vesta, Colo, five sisters, Mrs. Flossie Torry, Nevada, Mrs. Stella Cummings, Nevada, Mrs. Bernice Witmer, Mrs. Beulah Richardson, Mrs. Nina Bowen, all from Maxwell; one brother, Art Fish, Story City; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Johnson, Bremerton, Washington, Mrs. Margaret Mead, Colo, Mrs. Katherine Lembert [should be Kathryn Lambert], Ames; ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Maxwell Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing.
