Jerry John Jensen
Sept. 19, 1935, to April 26, 2003

Jerry "The Barber" John Jensen, 66, of Nevada, died of cancer on Saturday, April 26, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

He was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Spencer to John and Hilda (Schneider) Jensen. He married Becky Luhman on July 27, 1985, in Radcliffe. He was a barber at J Avenue Barber in Nevada. He was a member of the William F. Ball American Legion Post No. 48 in Nevada and enjoyed watching movies and sports.

Survivors include his wife, Becky of Nevada; two sons, Jeff Jensen and Todd Jensen; three daughters, Joni Holder-Paul, Jill Miller and Jennifer Jensen; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Goeders.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 29, at Chet Ryan Mortuary with Pastor Davis Burling officiating. Burial followed at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary handled arrangements.
