Florence Mildred Nordeen
Nov. 19, 1919-Jan. 2, 1993

Florence Mildred Nordeen, 73, of Story City, died of cancer on Saturday at the Story City Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. Tom Hunt and the Rev. Stephen Anenson officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Fllorence Wierson was born in Story City to Martin and Helen (Larson) Wierson. On Aug. 7, 1939, she married Ralph Nordeen in Elkhart. A lifelong resident of Story City, she worked as a housewife and for Pronto Foods in Ames for 15 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sons, Reynold Nordeen of Ames, and John Nordeen of Story City, a daughter, Marcia Hill of Roland, a brother, Irving Wierson of Story City, a sister, Gertrude Larson of Story City, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1987, a son, a daughter and infant twins.

Visitation will be today after 3 p.m., with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
