O. J. DUTTON DIED VERY SUDDENLY

FUNERAL HELD AT GRAND JUNCTION THIS AFTERNOON -- DIED MONDAY

Funeral services were held today at Grand Junction for Oran J. Dutton, 80, banker of that place and brother of Mrs. F. H. Conner of Nevada.

Mr. Dutton died very suddenly in a Des Moines hospital Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dutton, accompanied by their daughter of Colorado were in the Iowa National bank, Des Moines, when Mr. Dutton was suddenly stricken with a heart attack. He was hurried to a hospital but died before reaching that institution.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 and interment was in the cemetery there. Dr. and Mrs. Conner were present at the funeral.

The deceased was a son of the late O. B. Dutton, early day banker of Nevada, and had been engaged in the banking business for many years at Grand Junction, in Greene county.

The brother J. G. Dutton died in Nevada in 1928 and O. Ernest at Los Angeles in 1929. This death of the Grand Junction pioneer leaves Mrs. Jeanette Dutton-Conner of Nevada the last of the six children of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Dutton pioneers.

The father was for some years owner and built up what is now known as the Fantz homestead just west of the city limits and was for some years engaged in the banking business in Nevada before his removal to Missouri Valley where he established a national bank and where he eventually died.
