NEVADA YOUNG LADY MARRIED.

Miss Sylvia Maude Sowers, daughter of James W. Sowers of Oak Street and Mr. Ernest Gordon Carey of north of Ames were united in marriage at Mason City on Wednesday afternoon and the announcement which were recieved by frineds in this city this morning state that they will be "At Home at Ames, after August 1".

The announcement of the marriage came as a surprise to many people of the city who had not been taken in on the secrets of the bride-to-be.

The bride is one of the popular young ladies of the city and during the past three or four years has been spending her entrire time here kiiping house for her father. Previous to that for some time she had taught achool in Wyoming and other points. She is a most estimable young lady and will receive the well wishes of a wide circle of friends over the community.

The groom is a son of a well known family of north of Ames and is at present making his home upon the old homestead, which he is farming and where he has provided a home for his bride.

The couple left here on Tuesday for Mason City where they were joined by the bride's sister, Mrs. Frank Montgomery and her husband. They are now on a short honeymoon trip.
