WEDDING BELLS RING IN FARRAR NEIGHBORHOOD

By Mrs. Geo. Wolf

A beautiful wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Tomlinson, Sunday May 24, at high noon, when their daughter, Jeanne Marie, became the wife of Glenn W. Morrison, of Collins. Mrs. La Favre of Loring, played the wedding march as the couple, attended by the groom’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Morrison, of Collins, took their places beneath a canopy of pink and white crepe paper and white carnations and pink snap dragons, Rev. Ivan La Favre, of Loring, performed the ceremony, using the single rite ceremony. The bride was attired in blue chiffon crepe and carried lilies of the valley. The groom wore dark blue and wore a white carnation. Only the immediate members of both families were present.

The bride has grown to young womanhood in this community and graduated at Farrar high school with the class of 1931 with honors. Morrison is a graduate of Collins high school, class of 1926, also attended University of Commerce in Des Moines. They will make their home on the groom’s father’s farm three and one-half miles northeast of Farrar after May 26. They have the best wishes of Farrar and community for a long and happy wedded life.
