Services for Mary K. Flinders, age 68, of Hull and formerly of Sutherland, who passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull.

Family services will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Mary Kathleen Flinders was born in Cherokee, Iowa to James and Shirley (Fuller) Flinders on July 4th, 1956. She grew up in Sutherland and graduated from Sutherland High School in 1974.

Mary went to University of Iowa for several years before leaving for Seattle, Washington where she lived for multiple years. In the 1990's she moved back to Iowa, first to Sutherland, then to a variety of towns in northwest Iowa. She entered the Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull in July of 2021.

She passed away there on September 21, 2024. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jim and Hoy; and 2 siblings, Sarah and Patrick.

Surviving Mary are her siblings, Sam, Andrea, Liz (Chuck Hodges) and Mike (Sharon) Flinders; her nieces and nephews, Nicki, Bob, Chris, Pat, Lydia & Asa Flinders, Jamie Berry and Sean Hodges; her great aunt, Mary Munger; as well a cousins and other family.
