Mrs. Michelle Vore, age 42, of Le Mars, formerly of Hull, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Sioux Center Health, following a six-month battle with stage four bile duct cancer.
A visitation with the family present will be held on Monday, September 23, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, September 24, at 10:30am, at the First Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Harlan De Jong officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Hope Cemetery in Hull.
Michelle Lynn was born on March 20, 1982, in Rock Valley, the daughter of Richard and Cheryl (Bakker) Koele. She was raised in Hull and graduated from the Boyden-Hull High School in 2000.
On August 29, 2015, she married Justin Vore in Orange City. They made their home in Le Mars, where they raised their family, and Michelle worked as a warehouse supervisor for Plumbing and Heating Wholesale in Sioux Center.
Michelle’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. They regularly went camping in Yankton, South Dakota, where she enjoyed spending time on the beach, and Stone State Park in Sioux City, where she enjoyed hiking. She also enjoyed vacationing in Orlando, Florida, and Estes Park, Colorado.
Survivors include her husband of more than nine years, Justin, of Le Mars; their four children, Treyton Huizenga, Abbi Vore, Alex Vore, and Camden Vore; her stepfather, Randy Grevengoed, of Boyden; her father, Richard Koele, of Sioux City; her siblings, Wayne Koele, of Hull; Nate Koele, of Boyden; Travis Grevengoed, of Hull; and Trisha Grevengoed, and her husband, Pedro Parraguez Ruiz, of Copenhagen, Denmark; her step-grandmother, Wilma Grevengoed, of Hull; Justin’s parents, Todd and Laurie Vore, of Alton; Justin’s sister, Tasha Vore, of Alton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Grevengoed.
Memorials will be given to the family for future designation.
