John Vande Steeg

Clive, IA -

John Vande Steeg of Clive and formerly of Jefferson, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at his residence in Mesa, Arizona. John Vande Steeg was born on April 21, 1933 in Orange City, Iowa. Surviving are his loving wife, Diane, and sons, Steven (Janice) of Bermuda Dunes, California, and David (Julie) of Pella, Iowa; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Davis; one brother, Russell (Sharon) of Orange City, Iowa.

The family will have a private interment ceremony at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel. Then, there will be a "Celebration of Life" gathering for family and friends at Meredith Drive Reformed Church, 5128 Meredith Drive, Des Moines, IA 50310 (ph. 515-276-4901) from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd. In lieu of flowers, the family will be donating memorials to Northwestern College to help reduce the cost of tuition for future students. Cards or memorials to honor John can be sent to Diane at 2156 Northwest 156th Street Unit 5, Clive, IA. 50325.
