Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Downs mourn the loss of a child nearly two years which died Wednesday Aug 18. There is an unusual amount of sickness among the children in this vicinity.

This family found on ancestry.com is correct as this baby was born Sheridan tsp 1885 and was buried in the Catholic cemetery which was located in Hull Iowa. Thomas Downs was born 30 Oct 1841 Ireland died 23 Sep 1925 Sheldon IA, His wife was Margaret Ann Enright 1860-1912. The living children were Mary E. 1879 James W. 1881, Kathryn 1883-1962. A gap of 5 years. Then Thomas 1888, Rose 1890 and Bessie 1892.
