1880 census of Holland tsp Sioux County lists J. J. Bell 36 born IL attorney at law and wife L. H. Bell age 29, Children Florina E. 4, and Marion P. 1.

Died Bell – at her residence in Orange City, on Wednesday morning, May 3rd, 1882, of a weakness brought on by over work after childbirth, Mrs. Bell, wife of J. J. Bell of this city. Deceased was a native of New Hampshire, and came to Orange City in 1875 as the betrothed of our townsman, Mr. J. J. Bell, Since that year she has resided in this place, and by her generous nature and charitable actions has made friends of every one with whom she with whom she became acquainted. She leaves a husband and three children, the oldest of whom is but six years old, to mourn her loss. Mrs. Bell was a kind and loving wife and a better natured mother could not be found. This grief stricken family have the heartfelt sympathy of all our citizens in this saddest of afflictions. Mrs. Bell’s remains will be laid in their final resting place in the family lot in Pattersonville cemetery. The funeral obsequies will take place Friday.

In an effect to identify the husband, found the marriage of daughter Florence Bell born 1875 Orange City, She was the daughter of John J. Bell and Lucinda Watson, she married Fred Edmunds.

Found the family on ancestry.com Lucinda H. Watson born Dec 1849 Chichester New Hampshire died 3 May 1882 Iowa, she married John Jackson Bell 1841-1931 They had three children Florence Bell 1876-1942 ,Marion P. Bell 1878-1910 and William H. bell 1881.

Lucinda’s relation in Hull may have been Stephen Watson 1807 and Hannah Watson 1815
