Mrs. W. K. Allen of Matlock, died at her home Tuesday evening. Mrs. Allen has been sick for a long time, and has been a great sufferer. She was a good Christian woman, and her work was always for good. She will be missed by her many friends. The funeral occurred yesterday at the Baptist Church in Matlock, Rev. Pearson officiating.

A Family report on ancestry. Lists his wife as Jennie Murdick, Three children listed William 1888, Gilbert and one other. The 1895 census indicated more children.

In the 1900 census William K. Allen born Jun 1840 living in Gorton MN was a widower born in Scotland – children were Joseph 21, Ellen 15, Willie 12 and Gilbert 6.
