Tim Schiebout, husband, father and friend to many, died November 2, 2020 at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Tim was born November 20, 1951 in Orange City, Iowa to Ferdinand and Florence Schiebout. He grew up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters and graduated from Unity High School in 1970. Immediately after high school he joined the Air Force Reserves and later graduated from Dordt College in 1974 with a bachelorís degree in physical education and Social Psychology.

He was united in marriage with the love of his life, Rochelle Kole in Aplington, Iowa on November 30, 1974. They resided in Sioux Center where Tim taught physical education and coached cross country and indoor track at Dordt College until 1977. He worked for Schiebout Construction until 1981 when they moved to Sioux Falls. He took a position at the Argus Leader and remained there for 20 years. He then became self-employed doing home repairs and installing Safe Step tubs until 2019 when he retired.

Tim and Rochelle were members of Faith Family Church for the last 40 years where he served faithfully on the worship team, praising God with his beautiful voice. Singing was one of his greatest loves. He could be found praising on Sundays and regularly singing specials in the Christmas Program each year. Tim was a talented carpenter and lent his expertise to family, friends, church members and anyone he could bless. He had a way of turning anything he touched into something to be treasured. He loved to read, pray, journal, study his Bible and could often be found in a chair quietly meditating and finding peace for his days. He is remembered by many for sharing nuggets of wisdom at gatherings or as they endured hard times.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Rochelle, son Ryan Schiebout (Genny), daughter Carissa Schoffelman (Tim) all of Sioux Falls, SD. He has five grandsons whom he loved dearly: Noah & Cole Schiebout and Eli, Tate and Leo Schoffelman. Brothers John Schiebout (Jolene), Dan Schiebout (Brenda) and Phil Schiebout (Cheryl) and sisters Ruth Vermeer (Jr.) and Mary Kosters (Dave).
