Her birth record in the Netherlands lists Ynskje Bootsma born 20 Feb 1837 to Dooitze Theunis Bootsma and Jeltje Johannes Twerda born at Hennaardersdeel, Leeuwarden Friesland.

DeBriun child born was Jurre de Briun born 5 Feb 1858 Wonseradeel, Friesland. Kolthof child Tjitske born 21 Dec 1863 born to Willem Piers Kolthof and Ynskje Dooitzes Bootsma.

Her first marriage was to Sybren Jurres De Bruin born at Zurich 26 years married to Ynskje Dooitzes Bootsma born at Wommels 20 year of age, married on 29 Oct 1857 Wonsersdeel, Friesland.

Sybren De Bruin died 8Jan 1859 at Wonseradeel, Friesland. Age 18 years.

Last week Thursday morning, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. Brandts, Mrs. W. Kolthof. The deceased was Feb. 2. Turned 77 years old. Her husband died about 7 years ago, with whom she was married for about 45 years. This was her second marriage. More than 31 years ago she came with her husband and children to America, from the prov. Friesland, The Netherlands. From her first marriage, a son is still alive, Mr. Jerry De Bruin, who could not be present at the burial ground. From her second marriage, four more children are alive, namely Mrs. H. De Gooyer, of Prairie City IA, Mrs. John Verhoef van Boyden, Mrs. H. Bootsma, from DeSote, IA; and Mrs. R. Brandts of this place, who were all present at the funeral. The funeral service was held on Saturday morning in the church building of the 2nd Ref congregation, under the direction of Rev. Ossewaarde. The remains were entrusted to the bosom of the earth at Alton in the Churchyard, next to her husband's. In addition to the children of the deceased were here from elsewhere to attend the funeral, Mr. H. Bootsma, her youngest brother and her cousins Doris Wynia of Springfield SD. H. Wynia van Tindall, SD., Mrs. J. Holleman from Springfiedl SD; and Mrs. E. M. Duus from LeMars.
