In Hull, Reka, the 17-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Van Batavia, because of a disturbance in the blood. The girl was more than a week ago at her nephew's funeral in Steen. The funeral took place Tuesday under the direction of Revs. Haverkamp and Stoppel.

The 1925 Iowa census lists Bert B. Van Batavia born abt 1874 Holland was living in Lincoln Tsp Sioux county IA. Married to Dora Westra born abt 1883 Iowa. Their children were – Peter 20, Louis 19, Rikka 17, Maggie 14, Cowerlen 12, Jacob 10 and Johanna 7.
