Obituary
Today we received the sad news that our beloved father and grandfather Peek on the 6 Nov. 1917 died at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 5 days in Leiden, the Netherlands. This blow came suddenly and shocked us greatly, but we acquiesce
Lord's wise will. Signed Mr. and Mrs. J. Keyman and children Inwood 23, Jan 1918.

In the invalids' house in Leiden, the Netherlands, old Mr. Peek, the old man, died. was very well known in residents of our place, as he used to live in Sioux Center for years. Old Mr. Peek had had a very adventurous life. He has been as a soldier in the Dutch East Indies, belonged for some time, if we have it, to the papal bodyguard in Italy and in his early years he was active in discovery travelers with whom he traveled a large part of the world. Mrs. J. Keyman is his stepdaughter.
