Mary Ann Moss was born Oct 11, 1942 to Peter and Jennie TenHarmsel Soodsma in Hull IA. Mary Graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull. On May 17, 1960, she was united in marriage to Harold Lewis Moss. To this union they were blessed with two children: Mark and Hazel.

Mary was a secretary at Diamond Vogel Paint and Wax for 35 years before retiring in 2009. Her favorite hobbies were embroidery, making puzzles, and playing games. For the most part, she learned to be content with the situation she was in at the time. In 1982, Mary was widowed at age 39, and she moved to Pella in 2016. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City, and a member of Third Reformed Church in Pella.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Moss of South Carolina, and Hazel and Randy Bogaard of Pella: and two grandsons: Brett and Meredith Bogaard and Tukker Bogaard. She is also survived by her siblings; James Mary Soodsma of Kansas, Clifford Joanne Soodsma of Sioux Center, and Rosalie Soodsma of Omaha Nebraska.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Harold, and her parents Peter and Jennie Soodsma. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept 18, at the Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Thursday Sept 17, at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella, with family present. Memorials may be given to the Well Resource Center in Pella.
