Funeral services held Tuesday for John A. De Zeeuw. Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church here at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, for John A. De Zeeuw, 84, of Sioux Center, who died at the Sioux Center Community Hospital June 10 following a long illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial was in Memory Gardens cemetery here. The Co-operative Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. De Zeeuw was born near Sioux Center August 14, 1887 and was a lifelong resident of this community. He had farmed near Sioux Center until retiring and moving into the city in 1955.
Mr. De Zeeuw was married to Agnes Mulder in February, 1910. She died in June of 1922. On August 14, 1923, Mr. De Zeeuw was married to Dena Hubers.
Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Reinard (Dorothy Mae) Dykstra and Mrs. Joe (Mary Jean) Wynja; a son, John, of Sioux Center, 13 grandchildren; a brother, Andrew; and a sister, Miss Anna De Zeeuw, all of Sioux Center
