From the Sioux County Capital, October 20, 1988, p. 8:

A total of 160 acres near Granville owned by Regina S. Croat was designated a Century Farm. Regina reports Nick Croat bought the farm in 1888 for eight dollars an acre. Peter Croat got 80 acres of the ground from his father and later bought the rest of the parcel from his brother, Charles. Nick's son and Regina's husband, Clarence, bought the farm and farmed it until his death. Regina now lives in Granville.
