Employment: Deloris’ work history was always in food service and community care. She served as supervisor of the cafeteria at University of Missouri as well as at the Elk Horn (IA) and Irwin (IA) school districts. In 1976, she was employed by Elm Crest Senior Living Community, Harlan, IA, as the food supervisor; she later became the activity director and held that position until she retired.
Hobbies/Interests: Loved to host gatherings and spend time with friends and family; dancing; playing cards; baking cookies, pork-and-bean muffins and old-fashioned cake donuts; active member of the LNO Club, the Harlan Red Hat Society, and the VFW Auxiliary #941; Deloris volunteered at her methodist church, often helping prepare food for funerals.
