Education: Attended St. Michael's Elementary School and went on to graduate from Harlan Community High School, Class of 1968. After completing his service in the U. S. Navy, Kenneth went on to attend VA School from 1975 to 1977.

Religious affiliation: Baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Harlan, IA; he was an active member there his entire life; he served as a member of the church council and for many years as a lector.

Military service: Following his graduation from high school, Kenneth enlisted in the U. S. Navy, and served from 1968 to 1972. He trained in San Diego before being stationed in Hawaii; he courageously served three tours in Vietnam in 1969, 1970, and 1971.

Marriage: Stacey Tippett; Feb. 14, 1976; location not provided

Employment: After he was married, Kenneth took over his father's farming operation. He remained a farmer his entire life and never really retired. His son Zachary and grandson Wyatt gradually took over the farming operation to keep the family business going.

Hobbies/Interests: Kenneth was involved in community organizations including the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and taking trips to Arizona to visit his daughter and attend Spring Training baseball games.
