Education: Attended elementary school through 8th grade in a country school south of Newcastle, NE; she graduated from Newcastle (NE) High School, Class of 1957 and then attended Wayne State College and obtained her teaching degree.
Religious affiliation: Member, St. Paul Lutheran Church; active in D.O.R., taught Sunday school, mid-week classes, and was Superintendent for Vacation Bible School there
