Military service: Member of the Denison, IA and Brookings, SD National Guard, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant

Employment: After graduation, he helped his parents farm; in 1986, Denny accepted a position at Iowa State University as Manager of the ISU Research and Demonstration Farms and retired in 2013
Hobbies/Interests: Member, Habitat for Humanity; member, school board at Manilla, IA, serving as president; became a Master Gardener in 1991; was a John Deere guy and was proud to own his dad’s restored 1970 tractor
