Employment: After leaving college, she taught school in NE for 2 years; in 1950, she was employed by Mutual of Omaha Insurance in Omaha, NE, in the claims department; she eventually became the department supervisor. In 1987, she left Mutual of Omaha and started working at Union Pacific Railroad for 4 years, before retiring in 1991 and moving back to Panama, IA.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Panama, IA. She was an avid Nebraska Big Red fan, holding season tickets for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln football season for several years.
