Survived by: Wife of 47 years, Mary Lou Andersen of Jacksonville, IA; son, John (spouse, Connie) Andersen of Earling, IA; daughter, Nancy (spouse, John, Jr.) Watts of Harlan, IA; sisters, Marilyn Bennett of Atlantic, IA, and Kay Elmquist of Mapleton, IA; brother-in-law, Dale Andersen; step-brothers, Merle Hansen, Donald Hansen, and Harold Hansen; step-sister, Ardelle Andersen; step-sister-in-law, Hazel Hansen; grandchildren, Crystal (spouse, Travis) Burnett, Michael (spouse, Jennifer) Andersen, Jonna Andersen, Zachary Andersen, and Andrew Watts; great-grandchildren, Karleigh Burnett, Makenzie Burnett, and Jenna Andersen; other relatives and friends

Education: Graduated from Elk Horn (IA) High School, Class of 1951.

Military service: 1956 – 1957, U. S. Navy

Marriage: Mary Lou Reeves, Nov. 29, 1958, Overland Park, KS

Employment: Farming, Elk Horn and Jacksonville areas. In 1961, purchased the Jacksonville General Store from his uncle, Earl Andersen and operated the store until it closed in 1982; he then worked at Super Valu (Food Pride) in Harlan, IA, for several years; was currently employed by Variety Distributors, Harlan, IA. Retired from farming in 1996.

Hobbies/Interests: Active member, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, IA; he had served as financial secretary, sang in the choir, and played in the bell choir; additionally, Lynn had served as Jacksonville Township Clerk for nearly 40 years. In his leisure time, Lynn enjoyed reading, bowling, and spending time with his family.
