Survived by: Sons, Hanley James of NC, Rusty (spouse, Claudia) James of Des Moines, IA, and Michael (Kay) James of Council Bluffs, IA; daughter, Patty (spouse, Pete) Stein of Portsmouth, IA; sister, Dona Ganskow of Marbury, MD; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, John Lewis and Daisy (nee Whiltshire) Lidgett; husband, George Hanley James deceased June 19, 1973); sisters, Dolly Imsiek and Roma Good

Employment: After move to Harlan in 1941, was employed as a waitress by Ray and Fern Rasmussen; helped farmers in the area; with spouse, farmed a rented farm south of Harlan

Hobbies/Interests: cooking, crocheting, reading, working crossword puzzles, playing cards with her grandchildren, enjoyed babysitting after she retired; favorite color was red, and was known as a thrifty individual.
