Education: graduated from Rockford (IA) High School, Class of 1954; attended Wartburg College in Waverly, IA; graduated from Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA, in 1962

Employment: Following his ordination, he served congregations in Lake Andes, SD; Cambridge, IA; Nevada, MO; El Dorado Springs, MO; Ord, NE; and Sioux Center, IA; 1970-1986, was Chaplain at the Nevada State Hospital in Nevada, MO., as well as an active EMT; he started a successful emergency call center there. Served as Visitation Pastor, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA; Interim Pastor, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, IA. Retired in 2007, and moved to Missouri in June 2008.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA; active member in Lion’s Club, Rotary, Boy Scouts, and Kiwanis; enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
