Survived by: wife of 48 years, Mildred Rosenow of Shelby, IA; mother, Loretta (nee Albers) Rosenow of Harlan, IA; daughter, LaVonne (spouse, Dan) Robinson of Shelby, IA; son, Rod (spouse, Deb) Rosenow of Shelby, IA; brother, Don (spouse, Lois) Rosenow of Tipton, IA; sister, Marge (spouse, Bob) Kramer of Harlan, IA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends

Marriage: Mildred LaVon Kiesel, Aug. 26, 1960, United Lutheran Church, Shelby, IA

Employment: After high school graduation, worked for Cox Grain and Cooper Farms; after his marriage, Nick worked for his wife’s father at Elmer Kiesel Implement, as well as working at the Shelby Elevator. In 1972, he began working for AHST school system, and later was also a bus driver for the school, until his retirement in 2006.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, United Lutheran Church, Shelby, IA; board member, Carstens Farm organization; volunteer fireman with the Shelby Fire Department from 1971 until 1998, serving as fire chief from 1977-1992; enjoyed gardening and helped with canning; liked antique tractor rides and collected toy tractors; watched stock car races in Harlan, Denison, and Kansas City, KS; proud to have helped add a railroad caboose to the Shelby Park.
