Employment: Teacher; also helped spouse on their farm (near Gray, IA). Retired in 1970 to AZ, and then CO, where they were house parents at the Colorado Junior Republic School. (Relocated to Iowa in 1978)

Hobbies/Interests: active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Audubon, IA for many years, teaching Sunday School and participating in the ladies’ group activities. Dorothy later attended Peace Lutheran Church in Harlan. Quick-witted with a good sense of humor; loved teaching; enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
