Survived by: wife of 67 years, Irene M. Larsen of Elk Horn, IA; daughters, Angela (spouse, Dennis) Hemminger of Blair, NE, and Lynda Martin of Kimballton, IA; son, Eugene Larsen of Exira, IA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, John and Alma (nee Petersen) Larsen; infant sister

Education: attended schools in Kimballton, IA; graduated from Exira (IA) High School, Class of 1941.

Military Service: U. S. Army after high school graduation

Employment: farmed with spouse near Elk Horn, IA; in 1948, they bought the Feed & Produce Store, Elk Horn, IA; 1953, began trucking, hauling agricultural products in the area; Retired in 1988.

Hobbies/Interests: woodcarving; travel and sight-seeing; with wife, enjoyed taking camper south in the winter; was a member of the Elk Horn (IA) Lutheran Church and had served 2 years on the church council; member, American Legion Post #322 in Elk Horn (IA)
