Funeral services for Irene C. (Mrs. Harold) Schnack, 77, former rural Tipton resident, were held at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, March 18, 1991 with the Rev. Linda Myren officiating. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Dennis, Kirk, Brad, Tim and Jason Schnack and Tom Carroll.

Mrs. Schnack died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Ill., March 15.

The daughter of Rudolph and Christine Paustian Moeller, she was born at Walcott July 27, 1913. She graduated from Davenport Central high school and attended Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught in the rural schools in the Walcott area for several years.

She was married to Harold Schnack in Davenport Feb. 27, 1937. The couple farmed in Fairfield township until they retired, moving to Davenport in 1984.

Mrs. Schnack was a member of Peace Church of Christ United, Bennett, the Royal Neighbors and the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her husband, Harold, Garden Plaza Nursing Home, East Moline, Ill.; 2 sons, Dennis H., Leawood, Kan. and Kirk M., Melbourne, Australia; a daughter, Kristine M. (Mrs. Thomas J. Jr.,) Carroll, Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Ora Mae Bolte, Davenport; a brother, Charles, Mission, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Brad, Miegan, Jason, Tim and Holly Schnack and a great-grandchild, Amanda Schnack.
