Funeral services for Charles D. Moeller, 82, Davenport, former New Liberty area farmer, were held at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, Feb. 22, 1990 with burial in Davenport Memorial Park cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building fund, Davenport or to Peace church of Christ United, Bennett.
Mr. Moeller died at the Davenport Lutheran home Feb 19.
The son of Emil and Catherine Schneckloth Moeller, he was born in Scott county Dec. 30, 1907. He married Myrtle Olson in Davenport Oct. 27, 1934.
Mr. Moeller farmed in Cedar county prior to his retirement and was an auctioneer for many years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and served as director of the Bennett board of education.
Mr. Moeller is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Edward (Jeanette) Blackmann, Winter Springs, Fla. and Mrs. S. Ross (Doris) Haecker, Davenport; 2 sons, LeRoy and Wesley, New Liberty; 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Helen Crell, Dixon and Wilma Holst, Bettendorf and 2 brothers, Herbert, Bettendorf and Victor, Davenport.
