ELSIE BAWDEN, dtr of Thomas John and Anna Benton Bawden born 29 June 1881 in (Rockingham Township) Davenport. After her mother's death, Elsie kept house for her father and sister Ada. She did not marry. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and served for many years as secretary of the Scott County Methodist Sunday School Assn. She lived in the family home @ 3215 Rockingham until her death (ASHD) 24 January 1977. She is buried in Davenport's Oakdale Memorial Gardens with her father, mother, 2 sisters and brother-in-law Carl Finne. (Sect 13 Lot 156).
