Jessie June Callahan, daughter of Delbert and Louisa Hornsby Clouse, was born June 13, 1883, near Spaulding, Iowa, and passed away August 6, 1966, in the Clearview Home at the age of 83 years, one month and 24 days.

She was married to Bert Calvin Callahan on December 7, 1906, and their early married life was spent in Marshall county, Iowa. For many years they lived on a farm in the Grant Center community in Ringgold county, and in 1936, they moved to Clearfield. In 1961, she and her husband changed their residence to the Clearview Home.

Early in life, she became a member of the Grant Center Church and later transferred to the Christian Church in Clearfield.

Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Loyd E. and Lavern Clouse.

She is survived by a niece, Mrs Ralph Pritchett, and four nephews, Cecil, Floyd, Rex and Max Clouse.

Funeral services were held August 8, from the Christian Church in Clearfield with Rev. H. Ruegsegger officiating. Casketbearers were Roth Neville, Earl Gaule, John Duey, R. E. Spurrier, Gene Baxter and Don Bennett. Interment was in the Clearfield Cemetary.
Funeral soloist was Ann Cordell, pianist was Mrs Marie Crew.
