Memorial graveside services for Nellie Harper, age 95, who died at the Lenox Care Center on Friday, April 9, 1999, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 1999, at the Clearfield Cemetery with Pastor Dena Vittorio officiating.
Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.
Nellie Barbara Harper was born to Benjamin Spoonemore and Mary Hufnagel in Isadora, Missouri on March 26, 1904. Nellie grew up attending
rural schools and in 1923 she was united in marriage to Rolland Harper. The couple lived in the Lenox and Clearfield areas most of their life. Nellie loved to sew and was known to make most of her clothing. She also had a love for photography.
She is survived by her son Dean Harper and wife Vera of Lenox; a brother, Harvey "Bud" Spoonemore and wife Lela of Lenox; a sister, Faye Ingram of Des Moines; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rolland in 1947, her parents Ben and Mary, two brothers, Harry and Glenn and a sister Ruby Dow.
