OLDEST CITIZEN DIES.

R[ichard]. E[lliot]. BUSBY was born in Ohio March 2, 1863 and died at his home in Clearfield, Nov. 3 at the age of 96 years.

He was married to Ida MARTIN at New Sharon, Iowa. They came to Clearfield 64 years ago, settling on a farm nearby, where they lived until their retirement.

Mr. and Mrs. BUSBY were the parents of six children. A son and daughter died in youth. The mother passed away in 1920. Surviving are four daughters, Stella [Pearl] WITTER of Creston, Gretta MURDOCK of Omaha, Jessie SPURRIER and Lillian BUSBY of Clearfield.

Funeral services were held at the Crew Funeral Home Sunday. Interment was in the Clearfield cemetery.

CLEARFIELD LOCALS
Mrs. Gretta MURDOCK of Omaha, Mr., and Mrs. Earl LEACH of Creston, Mr. and Mrs. Don MASTERS of Mapleton, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin BAGGE of Fonda, attended the funeral of their father and grandfather, R. E. BUSBY here Sunday.
