OBITUARY ~ RAYMOND RALPH MAIN

Raymond Ralph MAIN, son of Ralph and Ella MAIN, was born on Nov. 23, 1903 at Redding, Iowa. He passed away on Oct. 15, 1985 in Leon at Westview Acres.

Raymond spent his early life around Redding and graduated from Redding in 1924. He was a member of the Redding Methodist Church.

He spent his later years in and around Grand River farming until his health failed. He spent almost two years in a nursing home at Van Wert and later transferred to Westview Acres.

He is survived by one son, Norman Ralph and wife Marie of Moravia, and three daughters, Marlene BROWN of Yakima, Washington, Eddice MUNSEN of Reno, Nevada, and Barbara MAIN of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Lela REYNOLDS of Tingley and Thelma NAVARTIL of Plymouth, Iowa; and one brother, Clifford MAIN of Nyssa, Oregon; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, and a grandson.

Funeral services were held October 18, 1985, from Wilson-Watson Funeral Home at Mount Ayr, Iowa, conducted by Rev. Ed KAIL. Organist was Mildred SMITH.

Casketbearers were Ron PARMER, Grant BROTT, Harold FROST, Quentin ABARR, Mike NAVRATIL and Dan GRANDSTAFF. Burial was in the Redding Cemetery at Redding, Iowa.
