Interment was held in the North Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials can be given in Delbert's name. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Delbert WEEDA was born October 12, 1944, in Ringgold County, Iowa the son of William Raymond WEEDA and Mary Floy VanLOON WEEDA. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Lenox High School with the Class of 1963. After high school he united in marriage to his 'high school sweetheart' Joyce EVANS, in Sharpsburg, Iowa on May 31, 1964. To this loving union three children were born, Todd, Kip and Tami. The couple moved one-quarter of a mile from the family farm and started a farming operation themselves, where they have successfully farmed for the past forty-one years.

Delbert loved life and living it to the fullest. He was a steward of the land who also enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and the "Iowa Cattle Drive." He also enjoyed spending Saturday nights at the Adams County Speedway and Sunday afternoons watching NASCAR races. Delbert loved traveling and enjoyed the kids when they returned home. Poppy especially enjoyed giving the grandkids tractor rides and 4-wheeler rides. Delbert never knew a stranger and truly enjoyed visiting with people.

Left to cherish Delbert's memory are his mother, Floy WEEDA of Clearfield; his loving wife Joyce of Lenox; three children, Todd WEEDA and wife Tammy and their son Tyler of Falcon, Colorado; Kip WEEDA and wife Miranda and their daughter Giulia and son Garrit of Manhattan, Montana; and Tami HULETT and husband Chuck of their sons Keaton, Kadon and Kolby of Creston; a brother, Harold HANCOCK of Clearfield; and two sisters, Darlene STAMPS and husband Curt of Diagonal; and Georgia HAYS of Creston; along with many other family members and a host of friends.

Preceding Delbert in death was his father William WEEDA in 1968.

May God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn Delbert’s passing.
