OBITUARY - ALICE A. VANDERPLUYM-COON

Alice A. VANDERPLUYM-COON, 92, of Des Moines, died Dec. 16, 2009, at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines.

Alice A. VANDERPLUYM-COON, daughter of Hazel and Albert VANDERPLUYM, was born July 13, 1917, in Shannon City.

Alice worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 28 years.

Alice is survived by her children, Patricia and Gene, several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and siblings, Elmer VANDERPLUYM and Irene HUBBARD.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Mel COON and brothers, Dean, Raymond and Wayne.
